UPDATE: Robbery possible motive for killing of Christiana businessman
The Manchester Police say robbery may have been the motive for this afternoon’s murder of Christiana businessman, Terrence Green.
Green was shot dead in the North East Manchester town around noon while making his way from a bank to the family-operated Christiana Pharmacy.
A large crowd descended on the scene after the shooting.
This is the third reported shooting in the North East Manchester town in recent weeks.
Meanwhile, Councillor for the Christiana Division, Desmond Harrison, has condemned the killing while demanding that the authorities do more to reduce crime.
Green's killing comes amid an upsurge in murders across Jamaica.
There has been a 19 percent increase in murders for the first six months of the year compared with the similar period last year.
