Police commissioner meets with senior officers in west Kingston

Police Commissioner, Dr Carl Williams is now meeting with senior officers at the Denham Town Police Station in west Kingston.

Police Commissioner, Dr Carl Williams and other members of the Police High Command are now at the Denham Town Police Station in west Kingston meeting with senior officers.

Williams did not address reporters as he joined a case management meeting convened by head of the west Kingston Police Division Senior Superintendent Cornwall 'Bigga' Ford.

Deputy Commissioner Novelette Grant and head of the Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) Assistant Commissioner Ealan Powell are also part of the meeting.

The meeting comes hours after another police Constable from the Denham Town Police Station was shot and killed by gunmen.

Constable Lynden Barrett was reportedly shot in the head and upper body after he was attacked along Wellington Street in west Kingston.

Last Tuesday woman Constable Crystal Thomas was reportedly shot three times in the face after she tried to stop three men from robbing a passenger bus along Spanish Town Road, also in west Kingston.
