Police trying to establish motive in Clarendon double killing
The police in Clarendon are now trying to establish a motive for a double killing in the community of Lionel Town on Thursday night.
However, residents say 17-year-old Jahleel McDonald and 20-year-old Hasiena Smith, both of a Chestnut Lane address, were killed as revenge for an altercation at the same premises days earlier.
It’s reported that two persons were injured in that altercation, one of whom remains in hospital in critical condition.
According to eyewitnesses, McDonald was visiting Smith shortly after 11 o’clock on Thursday night when gunmen invaded her home and shot both of them to death.
Relatives say McDonald graduated from the Bustamante High School three weeks ago and would have celebrated his 18th birthday next week.
