Olivia Grange pays tribute to veteran photographer Winston Sill
The Opposition Spokesperson on Information, Sports, Entertainment, Gender Affairs and Culture, Olivia Grange, has paid tribute to veteran Jamaica Gleaner photographer, Winston Sill.
Grange says the 73-year-old veteran will be sadly missed, both inside and outside the communications sector. She says he will be missed especially by those who depended on him over the years for advice and guidance.
She says the death of Sill and other journalists in recent months, reinforces her view that the Ministry of Information should partner with the Ministry of Culture to create a programme which will enable the country to record the works of journalists, who lived through the most important era in Jamaica’s history.
Sill died in hospital on Friday after a period of illness.
He had three children: Winsome, Irvin and Garth.
