MoBay wanted man captured at nightclub

One man who was reportedly wanted by the police is now in custody following a special operation at a nightclub on Gloucester Avenue in Montego Bay, St James today.

The Montego Bay Police say the accused was wanted in connection with the Murder of Jermaine Jackson who was shot and killed along Gloucester Avenue, in the parish on June 28.

It is alleged that Jackson, who was out with friends, left in his car to purchase food at a nearby shop when his vehicle was intercepted by another motorcar.

It is further alleged that unknown assailants alighted from the other vehicle and opened fire at Jackson's motorcar.

He was found with multiple gun shot wounds and was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The police say the identity of the man in custody is being withheld pending further investigations.
