Chief Education officer in the Ministry of Education, Dr. Grace McLean, is urging parents to report schools distributing unapproved booklists.

According to McLean, some schools have been distributing their own booklists instead of the ones provided by the ministry.

She explains that all schools were required to submit booklists to the education ministry, which were reviewed and finalised.

She says the education ministry is addressing cases which have been brought to its attention and it is appealing to parents report further breaches.

Dr. McLean says the education ministry is currently delivering textbooks to schools and will continue to do so into the first week of September.

Meanwhile, the chief education offer says the education ministry is about 90 percent prepared for the reopening of schools.
