PRAYER

Father, I praise You, and thank You that You are the supreme authority. All power and majesty belongs to You. Thank You for redeeming us upon the cross of Calvary. Thank You for giving me the cup of salvation and I will call upon Your name, Lord in the presence of Your people in the island nation of Jamaica. Here I present them before Your throne of grace once more. Thank You for Your loving kindness and Your grace and mercies towards us.

O Lord, I thank You for preserving us. Help them to put their trust in You, and give them a thirst for You like water in a dry land. Help them not to wander around in the wilderness of life. Give them understanding so that they may recognise Your hand in their lives. Reveal Your goodness to them more and more. Establish in them an unwavering faith so that they will know that when they walk with You, even the refining fire provides the perfect light for the step that they are on.

O God, my heart cries out to You for the sinners and the ungodly who are being filled with all unrighteousness. Those who fornicate, work witchcraft, work wickedness, covet, are malicious, full of envy, murderers, are deceitful, malign, whisperers, back biters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parent, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful. It is written that those who commit these things are not worthy of everlasting life.

Thank You, Lord, that You are not slack concerning Your promise, as some count slackness, but are long suffering towards us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. I say to you today: repent and be converted.

Lord, I pray for back-sliders to forsake their way and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let them return unto You, and that You will abundantly pardon them.

Lord, I pray for those who are sick and afflicted in the hospitals, nursing homes and mental facilities. The scripture declares: But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with his stripes we are healed.

I send Your word to heal and deliver them from destruction in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

O Father, I pray for the Jamaican athletic team; may You guide and protect them, keep them safe from injuries as they travel to various countries to compete. I ask that You will give them strength and courage. Energise them so that they will be victorious in each race that they run. Thank You, Lord, for everything.

Thank God, I can say: Now this is the confidence that we have in You Lord, that if we ask anything according to Your will, You hear us.

And if we know that You hear us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of You. In Christ Jesus' name, Amen.
