Air traffic controllers deny protest

General Secretary of the Jamaica Air Traffic Controllers Association Lenroy Morrison has denied suggestions that members staged any protest action or defied a back to work order issued by the Industrial Disputes Tribunal (IDT) on Friday.

For weeks, air traffic controllers have been restive about what they say is the slow pace of their wage negotiations with the government.

Morrison told The Gleaner-Power106 News Centre that his members called in sick with different complaints and that this was communicated to the IDT.
