The CCTV systems are to be handed over to the police at a ceremony by Minister of Tourism, Dr Wykeham McNeill, and Minister of National Security, Peter Bunting.

Ocho Rios in St Ann is the next town to be outfitted with a Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) surveillance system.

The CCTV systems are to be handed over to the police at a ceremony on Thursday by Minister of Tourism, Dr Wykeham McNeill, and Minister of National Security, Peter Bunting.

The tourism ministry says the system was acquired at a cost of over $107 million, through funding provided by the Tourism Enhancement Fund in partnership with the Ministry of National Security.

He notes that CCTV systems have already been installed in May Pen, Clarendon; Mandeville, Manchester; and Montego Bay, St James.
