When ScotiabankeR Lisa-Ann Tenn learnt that the roof of the kitchen at McCam Child Development Centre needed repair, she took immediate action. Through a fish fry and support from treasury teammates, $163,684 was raised. ScotiaFoundation also provided an additional $100,000 towards the project and $263,684 was presented to the school on August 18.

"We are grateful to Lisa and Scotiabank for their assistance," said Juliene Donaldson, administrator. "We have been trying to fix the roof for years," she said.

"The Scotiabank Treasury Department partnered with the McCam Child Development Centre to reroof the kitchen as part of our corporate social responsibility this year," said Gary-Vaughn White, vice-president, Treasury.
