Praedial larceny seeing downward trend
The theft of livestock and agricultural produce has continued on a downward trend.
The latest police crime statistics are showing 58 fewer cases of praedial larceny so far in 2015.
The figures show that there were 144 such cases up to September 5.
This represents an improvement over the 202 cases recorded for the similar period in 2014.
The crime figures also highlight that the cases so far this year continues on improvement over the last three years.
For the similar period under review in 2013, there were 218 cases of praedial larceny.
One-hundred-and-ninety-six cases were recorded in 2012.
