Members of the Wolmer's Boys' Alumni took time out Monday morning to welcome students as they entered the school to begin classes for the 2015/2016 academic year.

The initiative was undertaken by the Wolmer's Old Boys' Association as part of their mentorship programme and to motivate the students to do their best in all of their school activities.

"We are delighted to show that we care for the younger generation. You could see the look of amazement, particularly in the eyes of the first formers, to experience the welcoming reception they received to their new school from Old Boys," said Kirk Benjamin, president of the association.

The Old Boys also participated in assembly, which was held in the newly built auditorium. One of the highlights the morning was the introduction of the new head boy Aldane Walters and members of the Prefect Cabinet to the entire school community.
