Another PNP candidate selection poll off, this time in East Rural St Andrew
The People's National Party (PNP) selection conference for East Rural St Andrew has also been postponed.
This brings to three the number of selection contests that have been put-off since yesterday.
General Secretary of the PNP Paul Burke told The Gleaner that the East Rural St Andrew conference, scheduled for today at the party's Old Hope Road headquarters, has been called off.
Incumbent Member of Parliament Damion Crawford is being challenged by Government Senator Norman Grant and businessman, Peter Blake.
Burke said that the conference had become necessary because aspirants had emerged when Crawford announced that he would not be representing the constituency.
Crawford, however, told party supporters just over a week ago that his earlier announcement was a "trick".
But by then political aspirants had emerged which meant there had to be a run-off.
