2015 Bird Shooting season is over - NEPA
The National Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA) is advising hunters and members of the public that the 2015 Game Bird Shooting Season ended yesterday.
The season came to an end at nine o'clock yesterday morning.
Hunters are also being reminded that bird shooting reports should be submitted by December 31 this year.
Meanwhile, NEPA says shooting of game birds is strictly prohibited under the law while the season is closed.
The regulators say persons caught shooting during the closed season will be prosecuted under the Wild Life Act.
Persons found guilty can be fined up to $100,000, sentenced to 12 months imprisonment or both.
