Correctional officer arrested, allegedly caught trying to smuggling ganja into prison

A correctional officer was allegedly caught trying to smuggle ganja into the Tower Street Adult Correctional Centre in Kingston.

A correctional officer who was allegedly caught trying to smuggle ganja into the Tower Street Adult Correctional Centre in Kingston is now facing drug charges.

45-year-old Gary Senior of a St Catherine address is scheduled to appear in the Corporate Area Criminal Court on Tuesday for breaches of the Dangerous Drug Act.

The police report that Senior turned up for duties at the Tower Street prison carrying two bags.

It’s alleged that during a routine search four parcels containing ganja were found in one of the bags.

The Police were summoned and Senior was subsequently arrested and charged for illegal possession of ganja.
