Caribbean Airlines flight destined for Kingston diverted to Florida, technical difficulties

Caribbean Airlines advises that on October 7 flight BW 016, en route from New York's, JFK airport to Kingston, Jamaica experienced technical difficulties.

A Caribbean Airlines flight en route from New York to Kingston today experienced difficulties and was diverted to a Florida airport.

Caribbean Airlines advises that on October 7 flight BW 016, en route from New York's, JFK airport to Kingston, Jamaica experienced technical difficulties.

The aircraft diverted to Fort Lauderdale International airport without incident where passengers and crew disembarked.

Arrangements are being made for the onward travel of all passengers.

In keeping with international aviation industry practice, Caribbean Airlines will conduct a full investigation with the manufacturer and regulators to ensure the identification of the cause.

Caribbean Airlines apologises for any inconvenience caused and assures its customers that the safety of its passengers and crew is the airline’s number one priority.
