NWC begs vandals to leave its systems alone

The National Water Commission (NWC) is making another appeal for vandals to leave its systems.

Yesterday the NWC reported that one of its systems had again been hit by vandals.

It says this time they removed vital chlorine pumping equipment from the Bybrook number 4 Pumping Station in St Catherine.

The NWC says this caused the plant to be inoperable and left a number of communities without water supply.

The affected communities are Princessfield, August Town, Cow Gully, High Mountain, West Prospect, Riversdale Main Road, Church Road, Burton, Cashew Walk and Hyde Lane.
