Hundreds of Comrades have gathered in Petersfield in the constituency of Central Westmoreland for a People’s National Party (PNP) Mass Rally.

Amid a light drizzle, music blared from large speakers Sunday evening as flag-waving comrades, some sheltering under umbrellas, danced and sang ahead of the arrival of PNP President, Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller.

Senior party officials including Peter Bunting, Luther Buchanan, Derrick Kellier, Wykeham McNeill, and councillors from the Westmoreland Parish Council are among those in attendance.

This is the first of three mass rallies the PNP has announced in the lead up to a general election, expected to be called before year-end.
