Member of Parliament for North East St Ann, Shahine Robinson says a number of communities have no water and in some sections of the constituency, the supply of water is inconsistent.

The Member of Parliament for North East St Ann, Shahine Robinson, is appealing for the intervention of water minister, Bobby Pickersgill, to address what she describes as the plight of residents suffering from a lack of water.

She says a number of communities have no water and in some sections of the constituency, the supply of water is inconsistent.

"This situation is highly untenable and it is downright unacceptable for the cries of the people and my pleas on their behalf as Member of Parliament to be falling on apparently deaf ears," she said.

The Member of Parliament said communities such as Middle Street, Exchange, Paradise, Breadnut Hill, Priory, Seville Heights, Greenwich Acres, Pimento Walk and sections of Lime Hall are among those badly affected.
