The opposition Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) has expressed shock and regret at the attacks.

JLP Spokesman on Foreign Affairs Edmund Bartlett says given Jamaica’s commitment to world peace and harmony every Jamaican stands in solidarity with the people of France.

Bartlett says the attack in the French capital should be seen as an attack on the values and ideals Jamaicans hold dear.

In addition, he says it underscores the vulnerabilities of peoples of the free world and highlights the ever present threats posed by extremists.
