ECJ advises public how to verify their names on voters list

The Electoral Commission of Jamaica (ECJ) is urging Jamaicans to avoid the rush and verify they are on the voters list.

There is wide speculation that a general election will be held before the end of the year.

The ECJ says persons may call or visit their local Electoral Office of Jamaica Constituency Office to verify if their names are on the list.

Persons may also visit the ECJ website at and click on Query Voters' List to check for their names.

Only registered voters will be allowed to vote when a general election is called.
