The People’s National Party’s East Rural St Andrew candidate Imani Duncan Price says she is not fazed by the impending challenge by Juliet Holness, the wife of Jamaica Labour Party leader Andrew Holness.

Following the sudden resignation of opposition senator Alexander Williams as the JLP standard bearer, Mrs Holness has applied to run against Duncan Price for the East Rural St Andrew seat.

Contacted last night Duncan Price says she was confident of victory, no matter her opponent.

However, Duncan Price noted that there was still work to do to unite the Comrades of East Rural St Andrew – a seat now held by the PNP's Damion Crawford.

Mrs Holness has a background in economics and accounting.

She was senior manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers, before launching her career in real-estate development.
