Head of the St Catherine North Police Senior Superintendent Marlon Nesbeth says investigators probing this morning’s killing of a health worker in the parish are pursuing a number of leads.

52-year-old psychiatric nursing aide Ray Brown was shot and killed by gunmen who invaded his home in Willowdene, St Catherine.

The police say a female relative who was also injured during the incident has been treated at hospital and released.

According to the police, Brown was at home with relatives when armed men broke in and robbed them of jewellery and an undetermined sum of cash.

It is reported that a struggle ensued and Brown was shot in the chest.

Nesbeth says investigators believe robbery was a motive for the attack.
