NWA's communication manager, Stephen Shaw, says Fern Gully was reopened last night after oil was removed.

The National Works Agency (NWA) says traffic is flowing smoothly through Fern Gully in St Ann after a motor vehicle crash forced it's closure for almost two days.

NWA's communication manager, Stephen Shaw, says the roadway was reopened last night after oil was removed.

The road was closed on Wednesday after a bus transporting a group of teachers to St James crashed and caught fire.

Approximately 50 persons were on the 57-seater bus.

Some of the teachers had to seek treatment at hospital.
