Six alleged Burger Gully Gang members remanded

Six men who are alleged to be members of the Burger Gully Gang based in east Kingston were remanded in custody when they appeared in court yesterday for various breaches of the anti-gang legislation.

They have been identified as Devon Murray, also called Pepsi, Dwayne Chambers, also called Droopy, Adrian Lee, also known as Mad Wah, Rojay Bennett, also known as Budwick, Delano Morris, also called Bup and Jayaree Bryan, otherwise known as Kartel.

The police say the men were taken into custody last Friday following a joint investigation by the Major Organised Crime Agency and the Counter Terrorism and Organised Crime division into the gang’s activities.

The police also report that an illegal firearm with several rounds of ammunition and a number of documents were discovered during an operation in which four of the men were arrested.

They are scheduled to return to court on January 14.
