When Massy Gas Products Limited made the decision to hire a hearing-impaired employee, Nicoya Baugh, in the summer of 2015, they did not imagine that this would be the start of a long-term relationship with the Jamaica Christian School for the Deaf in Montego Bay, St James.

The Jamaica Christian School for the Deaf is a residential school based in Montego Bay that offers special classes and assistance to deaf children and children with other special needs.

Since this initiative, the company has been on a mission to aid the school in any way that it can. On Wednesday, December 9, the team from Gas Pro hosted a fun day for students at the school, complete with a dance competition and health checks, courtesy of the Savanna-la-Mar Public General Hospital, and free optical examinations, courtesy of the Foundation for International Self-Help (FISH) Medical Clinic.
