Young prosecutor succumbs to car crash injuries
There has been an outpouring of grief on social media for prosecutor Jason Alliman who today succumbed to injuries he received from a car crash on December 7.
He died this morning at the Cornwall Regional Hospital in Montego Bay, St James.
The 26-year-old suffered serious head injuries and had to undergo brain surgery following the crash.
The police say Alliman, who was prosecutor in the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, was driving on a wet section of the Orange Bay main road in Hanover when his car skidded and collided into a vehicle travelling in the opposite direction.
His family had launched an appeal online on the crowd funding site, GoFundme, in order to raise funds to assist with financing his medical bills.
Friends posting on social media sites Facebook, Twitter and Instagram today expressed sadness and shock at his passing, which many of them described as untimely.
