Two men arrested, charged after $2.3 million cocaine find in St Ann

Narcotics Police have arrested and charged two men in connection with the seizure of $2.3 million worth of cocaine in St Ann on New Year’s Eve.

Forty-nine-year-old farmer Devon Lawson and 35-year-old fisherman, Rohan Adamson, both from Westmoreland are to appear before the St Ann’s Bay Resident Magistrate’s Court next week Thursday.

They have been charged with possession of cocaine, dealing in cocaine and trafficking cocaine.

The police say about 7 o’clock last night, during an operation, the driver of a Toyota Caldina motorcar with the men aboard was signalled to stop.

The vehicle was searched and 2.1 kilograms of cocaine with an estimated street value of $2.3 million was reportedly seized.
