The trial of attorney-at-law, Dawn Satterswaite and her four co-accused is to begin on October 10.

Satterswaite is charged jointly with Janet Ramsey, Paulette Higgins, Annmarie Cleary and Terrence Allen with money laundering.

All five are accused of being connected to convicted drug dealer and ex-policeman, Andrew Hamilton.

The charges are based on allegations that over an 11-year period starting in 1989 Satterswaite purchased properties valued at close to $500 million for Hamilton who is now serving a lengthy prison sentence in the United States.

Prosecutors say the properties were registered in the names of relatives and family friends and were being managed by Satterswaite.

The trial date was given yesterday when the five appeared in the Corporate Area Criminal Court.
