There has been a second jailbreak in Westmoreland in just over six months.

The Constabulary Communication Network is reporting that four inmates escaped from the Whithorn police lock-up in the parish Wednesday afternoon.

They are:

Romaine Jenkinson, Dandre Hyman and Marvin Wilson, who are all charged with murder; and Orlando Jarrett, who is charged with housebreaking and larceny.

This is the second time in just over four years that there is a jailbreak at the Whithorn police station.

In 2011, four prisoners also escaped from the facility.

The police are advising members of the public that it is a criminal offence to harbour fugitives.

In June last year, seven detainees broke out of the Sav-la-mar police station.
