Jamaica Labour Party Leader Andrew Holness has renewed his call for the appointment of a czar to target economic growth.

He said this is necessary for sustainable growth and job creation.

Holness said state institutions need to be refocused to support the growth agenda.

The JLP Leader was speaking this morning at a leadership roundtable hosted by The Gleaner and the Mona School of Business and Management at the Spanish Court Hotel in New Kingston.

Holness said too that this focus on the growth agenda will help to tackle the problem of poverty.
