The Public Administration and Appropriations Committee (PAAC) will make a second attempt today to examine the revised budget for the current 2015/16 financial year.

The meeting is to start at two o'clock in the afternoon.

Proceedings yesterday at Gordon House were suspended minutes after they started.

Five members of parliament turned up for the meeting which adjourned within minutes after the MPs were informed that representatives from the Ministry of Finance would not be attending.

Committee member Fitz Jackson explained that this was because of some scheduling missteps.

The First Supplementary Estimates of Expenditure was tabled in the House of Representatives on Tuesday.

It shows an increase in programmed spending from the $641.6 billion approved in March 2015 to $808.4 billion.
