MBJ Airports Limited, the operator of the Sangster International Airport in St. James, is advising passengers that a severe winter storm in the eastern United States may impact travel.

According to MBJ, flights departing to and arriving from this region may be delayed or cancelled.

Travellers are encouraged to directly contact their airlines regarding flight operations.

In the meantime, MBJ Airports says flights not destined for the Eastern United States may also be impacted as airline networks become congested because of the delays.

The company says it is in contact with all airlines and will update arrival and departure information on its website www.mbjairports.com

MBJ also says it has requested that industry partners contact airlines regarding flight operations before transporting guests to the Sangster Airport.
