Ward of the state runs off during hospital visit

The police have issued an Ananda Alert for a 17-year-old ward of the state who disappeared after being taken to a medical facility in Chapelton, Clarendon on Wednesday.

He is 17-year-old Andre Nevins of the St Augustine Place of Safety in Chapelton.

The police say he is of dark complexion, slim build and about 5'5" tall.

They say Nevins was taken to seek medical attention by a caregiver about 11 o’clock Wednesday morning when he reportedly asked to use the bathroom.

The police say after a lengthy absence checks were made and it was discovered that he had left the facility.

They say subsequent attempts to locate him have failed.

He was last seen wearing a yellow T-shirt, plaid shorts and blue and white sneakers.

Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Andre Nevins is being asked to contact the May Pen Police, Police 119 emergency number or the nearest Police Station.
