White was not forced to resign – PNP General Secretary
General Secretary of the People’s National Party (PNP), Paul Burke is maintaining that former candidate for North Trelawny J.P. White was not forced to resign.
White resigned amid mounting pressure following revelations his project-management company owes $17 million in taxes to the State.
In a release this morning, White said he was guided to the decision by members of the party.
But according to the party’s General Secretary, White was not pushed to step aside.
Meanwhile, White says he will continue to work in the constituency and encourage constituents to support the PNP.
