St James police say JLP rally had 'adequate' security

Senior Superintendent Steve McGregor says between 10,000 to 15,000 people were in attendance, with about 200 cops present.

The head of the St James police division, Senior Superintendent Steve McGregor says he is satisfied that last night's JLP mass meeting in the parish had adequate security. 

He says between 10,000 to 15,000 people were in attendance, with about 200 cops present.

SSP McGregor says the police also got assistance from the Jamaica Defence Force.
