A contingent of police officers at the lonely Dubai Plaza in Portmore, St Catherine sprung into action, forming a buffer between droves of People’s National Party (PNP) supporters and Colin Fagan who turned up to nominate himself.
The police officers, who earlier remarked how inactive the centre was, had their hands full preventing the supporters from cramming into the nomination centre after the South East St. Catherine candidate.
They formed a line across the entrance as Fagan emerged from the crowd and entered the plaza.
"I'm very confident, man. You can see by the crowd that the people are confident and they trust me,” Fagan, who earlier marched from his office, told The Gleaner.
The gathering along Passage Fort Drive and George Lee Boulevard brought traffic to a halt.
