Scores of Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) supporters zig zagged their way in coaster buses and other modes of transportation to the Cedar Grove Plaza in Portmore to lend support to first time nominee Alando Terrelonge for the East Central St Catherine constituency.

Chanting the lines of singer Alkaline’s ‘Champion Boy’, the supporters said they were confident of his victory over the People’s National Party’s (PNP) Arnaldo Brown, Member of Parliament for the constituency.

"We seh Terrelonge because we need our country to be free, we need prosperity, we need jobs," supporter Lorene Townsend declared.

Supporter Leon Harr added, "Portmore can never be a PNP stronghold, a Terrelonge a go tek it this time and show dem that is not a PNP stronghold."

The JLP supporters blocked traffic on the Gregory Park main road, as they marched to the nomination centre at the Cedar Grove Plaza.
