Police, soldiers rush to Flanker after JLP bus is shot up

Members of the security forces have been deployed to Flanker in St James after a bus in Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) motorcade was shot up a short while ago.

One person has been confirmed dead.

The details of the incident were not immediately clear.

Speaking on Nationwide Radio, JLP general secretary, Dr Horace Chang said about 50 rounds were fired as a JLP motorcade passed through the St James community.
