Cool temperatures and a slight drizzle have done little to dampen the spirits of hundreds of People's National Party (PNP) supporters who have crammed into Junction Square in St Elizabeth for a mass rally.

"You don't see anything yet. In another couple of minutes every crevice and corner will be blocked," said Mayor of Black River Everton Fisher.

Fisher has also predicted victory for several PNP candidates in the parish, telling flag-waving Comrades that the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) candidate for St Elizabeth South East, Franklyn Witter will get a "backsiding" like never before.

The meeting marks the culmination of a tour of several constituencies in the parish today.
