Dancehall superstar Beenie Man sent hundreds of young people attending the People's National Party (PNP) youth rally at Jamaica College into a frenzy after making a surprise appearance.
Introduced as "a Comrade artiste", Beenie Man, dressed in black, walked on to the stage and began whipping up the crowd.
"Mama P," he said as he greeted PNP president Portia Simpson Miller, who was seated on the stage.
Simpson Miller embraced the entertainer and kissed him.
"When me a grow up, a two woman me know inna politics, mi mother and Portia Simpson," Beenie Man said.
"Me a big man now and a still mi mother and Portia Simpson," he said.
Beenie Man also hailed Lisa Hanna, the youth minister.
He quipped that there was a time when the only job of a Miss World was to marry to the prime minister.
"Now we have an MP miss world," he said.
Beenie Man did a cameo before leaving but not before bringing Simpson Miller, Dr Peter Phillips, Hanna and Robert Pickersgill rocking to his songs including, I'm OK (Drinking Rum and Red Bull).
