Paulwell: They read my speech in the last budget but I didn't put a timeline to it.

Phillip Paulwell, the technology minister, said that the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) was attempting to steal an idea he unveiled in the Budget Debate last year.

The JLP recently promised it would implement free WiFi on Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) buses.

But Paulwell, addressing an auditorium of young PNP supporters at Jamaica College, said it was his idea.

"WiFi was introduced this morning at 9:00 on JUTC buses," Paulwell said.

"They read my speech in the last budget but I didn't put a timeline to it," Paulwell said.

He said that it took some time between the announcement and the implementation, which has only taken place on two bus routes.

Paulwell said all JUTC bus routes will have free WiFi by September.
