Families welcome Wata Land reopening

Several families who went out to enjoy themselves last weekend at Wata Land on the border of St Ann and St Mary have welcomed the reopening of the facility, which was closed for approximately three months last year.

Wata Land reopened, much to the relief of patrons who have been turning out since then.

"We are happy they have reopened," one man said. "I came here with my family last year and had such a wonderful time I decided to come again. When I wanted to come here for a birthday in November, they were closed, so I'm glad they are open again."

Owner Gobind Dansinghani said that the facility had to meet some requirements stipulated by NEPA and had to close. He also sought to dispel rumours that someone had died at the attraction last year.

Wata Land boasts an aqua park - an area that actually floats on water and carries its own obstacle course - a kids' splash area, water splashes, a shallow pool, slides, kayaking, tractor rides, and a newly constructed go-kart track. There are also two restaurants on the property.
