North Central St Andrew MP, Karl Samuda has hit back at Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller, telling her that Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) Leader Andrew Holness was never her son.

On Nomination Day, Simpson Miller 'disowned' Holness, saying he is no longer her son.

"If he were my son, he would be behaving differently," Simpson Miller told The Gleaner.

Four years ago while being sworn in as Prime Minister, she had claimed Holness as "her son".

But speaking in Stony Hill at a JLP meeting on Monday night, Samuda sought to set the record straight.

"Don't been fooled, Andrew Holness was never your son," Samuda said.

He added: "I have the greatest respect for Andrew Holness for what he represents."

In the meantime, Samuda says there is no doubt that the JLP's West Rural St Andrew candidate Juliet Cuthbert Flynn will be elected on February 25.

"Nobody is in doubt that you are going to be the next Member of Parliament for West Rural St Andrew," he said.
