Wilfred Isaac Reid, 95 year-old Holmwood past student and oldest living foundation student from Chudleigh Path, Manchester, is to be recognised at the institution's 80th anniversary awards banquet, hosted by the alumni at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel, New Kingston, on Thursday March 3, commencing at 7 p.m.

Reid will be among other outstanding past students worldwide to be inducted (some posthumously) to the Past Students' Roll of Honour - earning the designation 'Distinguished Past Student', the highest that can be accorded any member.

Also to be remembered with tributes are three founding members of the 1936 staff at Holmwood: the late Reverend Edgar B. Rodgers, founding superintendent (principal); the late Dr Thomas P. Lecky, the first agriculture master and scout leader; and the late Thelma Joyce Phillips, nÈe Limonius, the first administrative secretary.

There will also be an alumni-hosted 80th anniversary commemorative church service at Christ Church, Christiana, on Sunday, February 28, commencing at 9 a.m.
