Energy Minister Phillip Paulwell says the delayed report into the bad gas probe is ready to be released.

Paulwell, who should have received the report yesterday, says he has not yet seen the document.

He has not given a date for the it's release.

The report was initially due by January 31.

However, the Noel DaCosta-led committee requested an extension which the Cabinet granted.

The committee was mandated to examine and review the protocols and regulations governing the petroleum trade.

It was also to act as impartial arbiter in the investigations being undertaken to identify the source, nature and susceptibility of locally distributed petrol to contamination and illegal activity.

Motorists have reported various problems with their vehicles after allegedly buying poor quality gasolene from retailers.
