The Electoral Observation Mission of the Organization of American States (OAS) has highlighted several good practices in Jamaica’s 17th general election held yesterday.

Mission Chief Janet Bostwick lauded the electoral workers and authorities on the staging of the election.

The OAS has also made preliminary recommendations for the improvement of the electoral process.

The key recommendations call for the voters' list to be posted outside polling stations and also that a limit be placed on the number of outdoor agents allowed by both political parties.
