PNP and JLP supporters in the St James West Central constituency of Mt Salem were caught in a vigilant mood yesterday.

Head of the St James Police, Senior Superintendent Steve McGregor, says it was a peaceful day of voting in the crime hotbed community of Flanker in the parish.

Much attention has been placed on the community in light of recent shootings.

SSP McGregor says adequate security was put in place for the three polling stations in the community.
