Motorists can expect delays along the main corridors of Hope Road, East King’s House Road and West King’s House Road, in Kingston this afternoon because of the swearing-in ceremony of Andrew Holness.

Senior Superintendent of Police and Commanding Officer for the Traffic and Highway Division, Calvin Allen, says motorists will be affected between 2 o’clock this afternoon and 8 o’clock this evening.

However, he says the police will try to balance the need to facilitate persons attending the ceremony at King’s House and motorists going about their normal business.

He says there will be restrictions along the main gate area at King’s House, where only specially invited guests will be granted access.

Another group will be granted access through the West King’s House gate while general parking will be facilitated along East King’s House Road.

SSP Allen said he is encouraging motorists to avoid the areas mentioned, to help with the traffic flow for the ceremony.
