MBJ hosts Int'l training seminar
MBJ Airports Limited (MBJ), operator of the Sangster International Airport, will be hosting the Developing Nations Airport Assistance Programme's (DNA) 32nd training seminar. The event is organised and facilitated by Airports Council International (ACI) and will be held at the RIU Hotel, Montego Bay, April 25-26.
With the accelerating growth of aviation worldwide, the need to increase airport excellence in the fields of management, economics, safety, security and operations in developing countries is increasing.
This-by-invitation only seminar, titled 'Airport Statistics', is intended for senior airport professionals involved in the production and analysis of airport traffic and economic data. The seminar will include topics such as airport and air carrier statistical nomenclature, measurement of air transport demand, key performance indicators - financial and economic measures, and traffic forecasting and seasonality.
The ACI DNA programme's objective is to support member airports in developing countries. Its mandate is to manage ACI's assistance programme effectively to achieve meaningful, sustainable results and engage in the development of ACI member airports in developing countries, enabling those members' efforts to realise their development objectives. This will be achieved by working with ACI's regional offices in Africa, Asia-Pacific and Latin America Caribbean along with CIFAL-Atlanta United National Institute for Training and Research.
